Well we had a very successful weekend in Granada! We left about 9:30 yesterday morning and arrived in Granada around 11:30. From there, a group of us went to tour the Alhombra, which was a fortress for the town, It was absolutely amazing! Pictures can't even begin to do it justice! After the tour, we went back to the hotel for a little free time. Hanna and I used the time for a nap, as we had gone out to El Pimpi's, a winery, the night before and didn't get to bed until about 4:30 AM. After that, we got pizza with my friends, Ryann and Lauren and explored all the little shops along the way.

After dinner, we met with our group for a "suprise". It turned out to be a night view of the Alhombra and Flamanco dancing! It was so awesome. After that, I spent the night and well into the morning with some friends. It was probably the most fun I have had since arriving here!
The next morning, we visited the cathedral where Ferdinand and Isobel's bodies reside. It was absolutely beautiful as they all are. We also learned about the gypsys here.... They try to give you rosemary and the trick you into giving you money. We were told to stay away but some of those women are awfully persistant.

I am having such a great time here and I have met so many good people. I get homesick a lot and miss Dean like crazy! But the saddest part is, most of the kids in our group don't stay for the second month, and actually, none of our close friends are. So in two weeks we have to say goodbye to the people we have met and grown to be friends with, knowing that we will probably never see them again. Then, a new group of kids will come in for the second month. It is just so depressing to see people leave, especially knowing that I won't be yet. But I am determined to just make the best out of things and take away amazing memories from this experience. I love you and miss you all!
Besos,
Ber
