Romeo, Oh Romeo, Donde Estas tu Romeo?

Hola mis amigos!

Well what's been up lately? I got to go see Aaron this weekend in Rota.... talk about a hell of a traveling experience. I had to take a bus to Sevilla first. There, I got creeped on by this guy from Kuwait who asked to be my good friend, then asked for my number, I said no, then he gave me his and preceded to tell me I could come visit him and I would love it so much that I would move there and we could get married.... And he was completely serious... So I told him I was married and he left. Then these two old guys kept following me around and staring at me... Like every time I moved, they would come stand or sit right next to me. I literally thought I was going to get taken and sold into sex slavery. But anyways I made it to Rota and got to see Aaron! He put me up in a nice little hostel and we went out for drinks. It was just so nice to get to see Aaron before he leaves to go back to the states! And I was very proud of myself for getting around all by myself! (My roommate usually does all the talking and understanding for us lol).

School is going well. My conversation teacher is a biatch but what can ya do? All the kids in my group are really fun. It kinda sucks because they all go out all the time but I never do because it is so dang expensive! I don't know how they do it! But I am making the best of my experiences here. I have been eating fish! Our senora made Paella which was really good but it had clams (in shells), shrimp (with heads and eyes) and calamari. And it was good once I got over having to rip the shrimps head off at the dinner table.... But I can't wait to come home and make dinner for Dean! Speaking of Dean.... I miss you Lovey!!!!! I wish you could come visit :( This experience would be that much better if you were here!

Well anyways, I will end with some strange facts I have forgotten to write about along the way:

1. Spaniards really don't have personal bubbles, you kiss a lot and talk very close to each other... very awkward at first!
2. Here, you don't say "Como estas" like ever, you say "Que Tal"!
3. There are shoe stores EVERYWHERE. Like shoes just for sandals.... love it but hate it at the same time.
4. Yes, the beaches are all topless....No I have not tried it myself.
5. Final strange fact for the day, it is unacceptable to go barefoot around the house. Even socks aren't enough. Slippers or flip flops are necessary at all time!

Well hasta luego!
